Freddie and Sarah where a young couple who had been married for 5 years. They loved each other dearly but they had a big misunderstanding between them right now. They just had a big fight and Freddie had made up his mind not to talk to Sarah.
Freddie got on his smart phone, opened up his online blog application and then he started typing away.
Hello Everybody, Can you believe the nonsense that my wife just said? She told me that Im wrong by not telling my friends about Jesus. What does that even mean?
I am a good person. I am a good Christian. Now she is judging me and condemning me for not telling my friends about Jesus.
Does she tell all her friends about Jesus and if she does, does that mean that I must too? or if she does that, those it make her a better person than me?
She doesnt understand that it is not so easy to just come out and preach to your friends like that. My friends are different from her friends. If she was in my work place she wouldnt say what she said.
In any case people, Im not talking to my wife. This is more than giving her the silent treatment. She has really hurt my feelings.

Meanwhile, Sarah pulled out her tablet device and started typing:
Hi Friends, I need you all to hold me and my husband up in prayer. There are some things going on in our marriage right now. My husband doesn’t even want to talk to me. He is giving me the silent treatment.
Please remember us in your prayers.
Freddie and Sarah went on with their day with Sarah hoping that Freddie would talk to her and Freddie hoping that his silence is killing her.
Suddenly, Freddie received in e-mail alert on his cell phone. He opened up his cell phone to see. That someone had written a comment on his recent post. He clicked the link and the comment read:
Strangers Comment: Hi, You dont know me but I’ve been following your blog for a while. I just read your post and I just saw your wife’s post on the same matter.
I hate to see couples fight like this. I understand that you are both Christians, you guys should work out your problems in love as Christians.
As Freddie read this post he grew angry and immediately started typing a response;
Freddies reply to Strangers Comment: Hey Stranger, You dont know me. I don’t care how long you’ve followed me. You dont know me. You don’t have any right to tell me or my wife how to live our lives. How dare you? Who do you think you are? You better not comment here again if you know what’s good for you. Mind your own business.
Freddie sighed in anger and then he looked at his wife. She looked back at him with curiosity on her face. She was clearly also hoping that he would speak to her but he didn’t. He still wasn’t speaking to his wife so he couldn’t say anything. He decided to visit her blog to see what she wrote.
Immediately after reading her blog, he received another e-mail alert and checked his mail only to find out that the stranger had just replied to the comment he told the stranger to not reply to. Oh! what kind of person is this that is disturbing him?
Freddie decided to click the link to see what the stranger would say. Just because he would read it doesnt mean that he would reply to it. Then, Freddie’s eyes rested on the reply;
Strangers reply to Freddies reply: I’m sorry Mr. Freddie, I didn’t mean to offend you. It is just that I’ve enjoyed your lovely posts about Jesus Christ for so long. This post caught me off guard. I’m sorry, my comment was a knee jerk reaction to the post that I saw. Next time I wouldn’t be so quick to respond without cooling down first.
I really respect you. I only meant to say that I’m sure that your wife loves you and I’m sure that she means well. She only wants to make sure that your friends are Christians too and that they go to heaven too just like I know you would.
Im sure you won’t like it if your wife makes friends with non-Christians at her own work place, there are over a thousand ways that that could badly affect you if that happens.
And I’m sure that if it was you who where in your friends shoes and you where the one that wasnt born again and they were, I’m sure you would want them to share the gospel with you now that you know how glorious the precious gospel is?
I dont think your wife is judging or condemning you. She believes in you. She clearly believes in you because she believes that you can led them to Christ. And she clearly loves you because she posted a call to pray for you guys marriage on her blog. I bet she’s missing you right now and I bet you know it.
I know that in some offices and secular environments it is not easy to represent Christ or preach the gospel but I believe in you and the bible tells us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us so I know that you can do it. I believe in you because Christ believes in you.
But I’m sure that God would be pleased above all things if you start talking to your wife again. What’s more, I know you miss talking to your wife.
As soon as Freddie finished reading the comment he lifted up his eyes and fought back the tears. He looked at his wife and she saw the tears welling up in her eyes.
He walked up to her and then fell on his knees before her. Sarah was still a bit confused.
Suddenly, Freddie burst into tears. He couldn’t control himself. Then with his face squeezed together like that a little boy begging for his mothers forgiveness he said, I’m Sorry. Freddie started to explain as he cried but his wife with tears now in her own eyes said, SSHHhhh!!!, and then she trapped her arms around him.
Freddie never felt so fortunate and complete in his whole life.
Later, he promised Sarah that he would never do anything as childish as giving her the silent treatment ever again.
After treating his wife to a romantic dinner that evening, Freddie pulled out his phone and replied to the Strangers comment. He wrote:
Thank You I owe you more than you could ever possibly imagine.
